MODERN SLAVERY AND HUMAN TRAFFICKING STATEMENT

Introduction

This Modern Slavery and Human trafficking statement is a response to Section 54(1), Part 6 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and relates to actions and activities for the financial year ending 31 March 2025.

Seven Distribution Ltd (‘the Company, ‘we’, ‘us’, or ‘our’) is committed to preventing slavery and human trafficking violations in its own operations, its supply chain and its products. We have zero-tolerance towards slavery and require our supply chain to
comply with our values.

Organisational Structure

Seven Distribution Ltd has business operations in the United Kingdom.
We operate in the distribution of consumer electronics and mobile accessories sector. The nature of our supply chain is as follows:
We work with key suppliers, who provide us with goods, such as equipment for our premises, products to sell into retail, and services such as IT software and marketing services. We predominantly buy from UK and Europe, and we do import directly from
approved brands in China.

Policies

We operate a number of internal polices to ensure that we are conducting business in an ethical and transparent manner.
These include the following:

  •  Recruitment and selection policy 

At employee recruitment, from first point of interview, we would require personnel information such as name and current address. If employment is offered, we request to take copies of official documentation to verify their information. Any concerns would be reported, and dealt with, by the management team. On induction, the employee is trained on raising awareness on modern slavery and human trafficking.

  • Supplier code of conduct

When introducing a new supplier to our portfolio, we always refer to the supplier code of conduct to ensure they have the appropriate procedures in place to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking.

  • Whistleblowing policy

Employees and suppliers are free to contact us in full anonymity, to report any concerns that they have relating to modern slavery and human trafficking. In 2022/23 we did not receive any reports of this kind.

  • Staff code of conduct

Our staff code of conduct includes training on raising awareness on modern slavery and human trafficking, across all areas of our business operations. We give our employees and colleagues confidence to report any concerns, either within the business, or if they have any concerns in their communities. It is paramount that our colleagues and employees understand that modern slavery and human trafficking, thrives on being shrouded in secrecy for it to happen, and it is a crime. So, with our training they can
recognise signs and feel confident to report.

  • Procurement policy

We want to make sure that potential suppliers are committed to ensure that slavery and human trafficking is not taking place within their own supply chains. Our procurement policy and supporting procedures set out controls and checks undertaken to help verify
this.

Due Diligence

As part of our efforts to monitor and reduce the risk of slavery and human trafficking occurring in our supply chains, we have adopted the following due diligence procedures:

  1. Evaluating the slavery and human trafficking risks of each new supplier.

  2. We do not tolerate slavery and human trafficking in our supply chains. Where there is evidence of failure to comply with our policies and procedures by any of our suppliers, we will require the supplier to remedy the non-compliance.

Effectiveness

The Company uses Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) to measure its effectiveness and ensure that slavery and human trafficking is not taking place in its business and supply chains. These KPI’s are as follows:

  1. We will contact suppliers to enquire about their modern slavery practices every 12 months.

  2.  We will train our staff about modern slavery issues and increase awareness within the company.

Training Staff

The Company requires staff to complete training and ongoing refresher courses on slavery and human trafficking. The Company’s training covers:

  1. How to identify the signs of slavery and human trafficking.

  2.  What initial steps should be taken if slavery of human trafficking is suspected.

  3. How to escalate potential slavery or human trafficking issues to the relevant parties
    within the Company.

  4. What external help is available.

  5. What steps the Company should take if suppliers in its supply chain do not implement anti-slavery policies in high-risk scenarios, including their removal from the Company’s supply chain
